Does anyone know how many kids are infected with this virus in the WCSS? My 7-year old grand daughter just got diagnosed with it this afternoon and nobody seems know any of the #'s of kids who have it. Maybe elp6n would have some kind of inside info on this since she does some reporting for the coalfield.
The Dr reports to Health Dept. when a child has something contagious . Health Dept
usually contacts the school but are NOT allowed to give the students name. Parents are the only source the School has to get this type of info about a particular student.
I am not concerned about names, just the numbers and percentages of students.

The Health Department is no longer tracking H1N1 specifically. It's now just being reported as "influenza" regardless of strain. H1N1 seems to be the predominant strain out there now.
It's making its rounds, some schools hit harder than others. At the moment the southern end of the county seems heaviest hit.
You'll shoot your eye out.

I don't get the worry over this, if I get the flu this year, I hope it's the H1N1.
